Q. How do I know if the armature (not the brushes) has failed?

If replacing the carbon brushes doesn't resolve sparking, weak rotation, or a burning smell, the armature itself is likely worn or damaged and needs replacement.

Q. Can this be replaced without sending the centrifuge for service?

It's an internal motor component, so we recommend having it fitted by a technician — we can arrange this through our Laboratory Equipment Repair service.
